How To Clean A Vr6 Throttle Body
VR6 throttle torso clean
Hey folks, I was thinking about cleaning out the throttle body and intake elbow on my VR6 and was wondering whether its neccessary to replace the throttle trunk gasket once its done and if anyone else has washed it and has any tips?Cheers in advance.
As for the gasket mate, I have picked up the rule ''when you lot take one off don't put information technology back on''. Gaskets aren't besides expensive, and despite it only being air I would nevertheless just practice information technology.

I replaced in the upper intake manifold gasket when I painted the intake, but remember these things are really aluminium, not the 'normal' materials I was expecting. I had bought a replacement under that "supercede it when you remove information technology" rule non knowing what it was fabricated from.When I later pulled out the TB to clean mine I put information technology back in without thinking too hard near it since information technology looked to be in skilful nick (and I didn't have a spare).
I think for a one off quick clean it would be fine, simply if your taking the TB on and off regular like you might want to replace it every so oftentimes.

Thanks for that guys, I just want to do a one off clean and re-route the oil catch on breather and polish up the throttle trunk whilst the interior is in bits and I can't bulldoze information technology for a calendar week or two.
